In addition to its poetic imagery and humor, what is immediately apparent about the filmmaker Roald Simonson's contribution to "Lint" is a fundamental, linear narrative.  The composer Paul Cox's independently written music does not follow the exact images or their editing, but, more abstractly, is based on the structure of the narrative as it emotionally unfolds.  The chief experiment of Simonson and Cox's collaboration will be to see if music and image are so organically compatible that when finally brought together in performance each will illuminate the other, possibly in ways that are unwilled, unexpected, and powerfully harmonious.
